It’s not about the accident…
Someone hit me in my car last week.
I was stunned because I have never been in an accident before. After the rumble, I got out of my car to assess the situation. The other driver was clearly upset, yelling and screaming at me. He had backed up into my Honda CRV, the older model with the spare tire sticking out, which had left a clear imprint on the trunk of his fairly new Sedan. My right rear bumper was dangling off the side.
Not a pretty picture.
He continued to yell at me until I said: “Let’s just call the police,” and I went back into my car to do so.
Ho’oponopono
I felt like I was watching a movie.
I was aware of everything that was going on but couldn’t think one straight thought. I wanted to pray, but again, couldn’t think of anything to say. Finally I started to do Ho’oponopono. “I love you, please forgive me, thank you.”
Over and over again I thought the same thing, “I love you, please forgive me, thank you!” Then another thought came to me. “May only good come out of this!”
My legs felt weak and my brain still felt like I was sitting in a cloud.
Finally I got out of the car to talk to the other driver. I walked over to him and told the young man that I was really sorry for the damage on his car. “Me too,” he replied in a very calm and collected way. I was surprised by his calmness and continued to silently say my two prayers. “I love you, please forgive me, thank you, may only good come out of this.”
We thoroughly checked out the damage on his car. Then we turned towards my Honda, with its bumper hanging down. I leaned against my bumper to assess the damage and to my surprise it popped right back into its place. No scratch or dent visible!!!
The power of prayer
Ho’oponopono? Prayer? Affirmation? I don’t know what to say.
The man said something like, “that was too easy” and returned back to his car. Then he said: “Let’s just forget about it and call it a day. Let’s go home.”
I replied, “thank you” (this time out loud) as we shook hands and parted ways.
This experience is such a confirmation of the Power of Prayer. I didn’t need this confirmation because I already deeply believe in it but it’s really nice to witness miracles happening right in front of you.
All I can say is: “Thank you, Please forgive me, I love you!”
…it’s about the power of prayer!
