May Affect their Children and Grandchildren
No doubt you have heard of the expression “you are what you eat.” There is a lot of TRUTH and WISDOM in that statement…
Probably a lot more than we would all like to consider.
Well, recently an article posted on msnbc.com states what I have always known. Which is…
Healthy Eating During Pregnancy
What the mother eats during her pregnancy may have a direct affect on her newborn child. And possibly her unborn grandchild.
I always felt that if the mother ate a specific food or fast food during her pregnancy, then the child would crave those foods later in life. A diet based on fast foods could subsequently lead to obesity in the child.
Well this article goes even deeper than that!
A connection direct connection is made between unhealthy eating during pregnancy and the risk of cancer for children and granchildren, EVEN IF they themselves eat healthy diets during their lifetime.
Apparently, the study seems to suggest that the damage caused by omega-6 fatty acids causes damage that can be passed down from one generation to another.
