How to Release those aspects of Self which no longer serve your Higher Purpose.
You’ve probably heard it time and time again, “Let it go.”
Or maybe you’ve heard this one, “Release it” and yet you are often left with the thought that this sounds like a great idea in theory, but……
How many times have you thought to your Self, “If I only knew HOW to surrender, I would.”
The Art of Surrendering
I have come to learn recently that truly “surrendering” really is an art! Not an art like drawing or painting, but an art in paraphrasing exactly what you wish to surrender.
An art in discovering some very specific aspects of your Self that you may not wish to know.
Why would you take on this task and venture into the darkest places of your Soul?
To move into a place of higher enlightment. Our planetary energies have already begun to shift and it is imperative that we each, individually and collectively, shift with it. To do so, you must release all aspects of Self which no longer serve your higher purpose and replace these aspects with the energies of Love!
To give you a better idea of what this might look like, let’s take a moment and really explore how you can move into the creative aspect of the art of surrendering.
Spiritual growth and spiritual healing have recently become a hot topic.
This is because, for many, the awakening process has begun!
Three simple steps to move your Self into a place of surrender
First, find a place where you can be undisturbed for the duration of your inner journey.
Locate a space where you can fully connect with both Mother Earth and with Source/Creator. If at all possible locate this space outdoors. If this is not possible then create some type of sacred space to sit.
Second, begin to quiet your mind.
Breathe in through the solar plexus and breathe out through the same center. Really connect with the rhythm of your breath. Now bring your consciousness up into the heart center and you begin to breathe in love and exhale love.
Continue this type of breathing until you feel your Self begin to smile and genuinely feel the love emanate from within you.
Third, allow your thoughts to rise to the surface.
With each thought, both positive and negative, say either silently to your Self or out loud, whatever you are more comfortable with “I surrender ________________ to LOVE”
For example, I surrender my anger towards (name the person, event, etc) to LOVE,,,, and sit with it until you feel it dissipate. Continue with this process until you feel you have surrendered all things to Love.
Finally, to make this process complete — once you have surrendered to love all aspects of Self, it is time for the BIG one — To Surrender Your SELF to LOVE!
Follow the above example by saying, “I Surrender my Self to Love”
It is in this moment that all aspects of Self are washed away completely and forever and all that is left within you is the perfect aspect of Love!
If for any reason you feel an old emotion, feeling, habit or any other aspect in which you surrendered to love re-emerge, then simply re-state the surrender phrase until you feel it dissipate. This may occur due to an underlying aspect which may have laid hidden.
I encourage you to begin today, right now, in your surrendering process!
Make the time for your Self to sit in Surrendering.
Walk in Love!
