How to overcome your own negativity when life’s trials and challenges feel overwhelming.
It never seems to end, a whole barrage of emotions flood every ounce of your being.
You feel uptight, you feel tense and the more you try to console your own raging negative emotions, the deeper you fall into their all consuming trap. You move quickly, between anger and rage to pain and suffering, which are followed by tears of sadness or disempowering thoughts.
You feel stuck when that all too familiar scenario plays out in your life, yet you never seem to have the ability to find a solution to free your Self.
The Art of Letting Go
As you reach out for someone to throw you a lifeline before you sink completely, thoughts of “why me” “nobody cares about me” “I don’t know what to do anymore” “why is everyone always against” “damned if I do, damned if I don’t” seem to fill the spaces within your mind.
Does this sound familiar to you?
Chances are you have experienced one or more of these scenarios at one time or another in your life.
For some, the process of releasing and letting go is a natural one. Yet, for others, it has become a perpetual way of living life.
When you become caught in the trap of overwhelm from the many challenges and trials we are often faced with, how can you overcome your own negativity and move into a place of self empowerment?
Often, feeling overwhelmed is merely a sign offering you an opportunity to look at your own situation through a different or new pair of eyes.
When one is faced with challenges and overwhelm, you are caught in the vicious cycle of thought and when you think, think some more and over think, you simply cannot think at all!
So what is one to do?
When you begin to shift your perception away from what is “wrong” and move it towards taking life in “bite size pieces” you can quickly move from overwhelm and into developing a plan of action.
Now you can catch your breath.
Now you can free your Self from the bondage of the mind. You begin to see that where once the perception of having no options opens the doorway to discovering one choice. The further you look, you see that that one choice now develops into two.
Keep looking for the smaller bite size pieces and soon you come to the realization that you have found multiple choices!
There is a sense of freedom which rushes over you when you recognize that life has presented you with a multitude of choices. Kindness and gentleness soon begin to replace those old barrage of negative, self defeating thoughts and traits.
With each small bite size piece you take, you begin to chip away at the mountain which held the appearance of being too tough to climb alone, enabling you to see that with this small shift in perception, you can find the light even from amongst the darkest of times.
