What IF you held a magic mirror in your hands that showed you not only your weaknesses, but your strengths as well?
What IF this mirror reflected back to you, the image you have for your Self?
How many times have you gotten upset or angry with someone or something, you feel “did” something to you? Hurt you? Betrayed you? Took something from you or even failed to love you in the way which you felt you deserved to be loved?
These are all, what we call, Projections.
Understanding projections and how they work
Everything we do, think and how we behave towards our Self we project out onto others.
Have you ever been angry at someone, then angry people come at you from all directions. Like the angry person who cut you off when driving or someone who bumped into you at the market and then got mad at you for getting in their way.
Every person, every event, every happening and circumstance that shows up in your life, is a direct reflection of how you view your Self.
Yes, l said that!
You may find your Self in situations where fear, in it’s many variations, shows up for you. When you struggle within a relationship, you will find the magic mirror standing before you.
When you fully, completely and wholly love your Self, this is reflected back to you, through means such as abundance, peace, joy and pleasurable experiences.
For most of us, we have not yet quite reached this state of eternal bliss.
So, how can you use these mirrors to grow and evolve, in both your personal and spiritual evolution?
Simple.
Become Aware of what the mirror is reflecting back to you.
The beauty of the mirror lies within its reflection. The reflection you see, reflects back to you what you are sending out. In other words, if anger in another is what you see, stop and ask your Self, “In what way am I holding anger towards my Self?” or “What do I need to forgive with me?”
Through this dance of constantly asking questions, you will step into a place of intrigue and anticipation to guide you along your journey.
As you continue to grow and evolve, you will soon understand that every person in your life, will show you how loving and beautiful you truly are. When you love someone openly and completely, the magic mirror is reflecting that same deep and profound love within your Self.
Another great benefit of the mirror effect is seeing your own beauty and love being reflecting back to you and recognizing that your beauty and love has been there all along.
You may not have recognized it as your own because it came to you through the eyes of another.
Steps for self-mastery
Ask your Self today, “What am I projecting upon others? Is it a strength or a weakness that is being mirrored?”
Embrace whatever it is that shows up for you.
Remember, there are no right or wrong ways of showing up. All things show up in perfect divine order. Be gentle with your Self. Be kind to your Self and most importantly, be Loving to your Self, regardless of what shows up.
