Alternative ways of thinking and alternative medicine practices aren’t always viewed as having credibility, but I expect that to change as we all seek a better understanding of how healing works.
This includes using the law of attraction for manifesting great things in our lives.
This is likely so because it’s an abstract concept that most people have a difficult time understanding or at least accepting.
Let’s put some science behind it.
Attraction in action
We’ve all heard it many times over…
Negative energy attracts and creates even more negative situations, and positive energy attracts and creates more positive situations.
But how does that happen exactly?
We can explain it in the abstract way and simply say that the energy you put out is the same type of energy you attract back, and you would be correct. After all, thoughts are energy… feelings are energy.
However, there is more to it than that.
There is also a biological, physical factor that contributes to the process as well. Inside the brain, we have little hair-like follicles called Dendrite Spiny Protrusions. When we have thoughts or even experiences, these dendrites are triggered and act as little magnets that attract more of the same to us.
For instance, if we have a positive experience that gives us great joy, the neurons become activated to recognize that positive thought/feeling of joy. The dendrites then act as part of the attraction process, assisting in recognizing and attracting more positive situations faster and faster.
The same can happen with negative thoughts and situations, which is why it is so important to intervene in the process of attracting and creating negativity in our lives.
Attraction and our thought process
Our thought process can become much like a broken record, playing and replaying negative thoughts and fears over and over.
This triggers negative feelings.
One way to intervene is to utilize gratitude in order to break that cycle of attracting more negative situations faster and faster.
Giving positive thought and feeling more than 50% of the time is significant in the intervention process. And becoming aware of negative thoughts and feelings is vital to applying the law of attraction to manifest positive things into your life.
When you notice that you are thinking in a negative way or begin experiencing something negative, immediately stop and begin thinking about the things that you love. Then visualize the things that you want in your life and experience the feelings as though you already have them.
