There are close to seven billion people on this planet, so there are billions of ideas about what happiness means.
I believe happiness is a conscious choice, it is a way of being that you and you alone create in your life. Once the decision is made to lead a happy life and there is a commitment, your life will begin to change in positive ways.
Research is now showing us that many factors actually influence our level of happiness.
Factors that influence happiness
There is our environment, our attitude about life, childhood experiences and now there could even be a genetic factor as well. The research seems thoughtful and insightful but happiness is an individual decision and I recommend you follow your instincts.
If you have the desire to be happy or to increase happiness in your life then you are looking at developing a new skill as I think happiness can be cultivated.
